Decided to try out the new Battlefield 5 maps. Have to download 50+ GB of patches.

Game is "downloading", I accidentally pause the download then click Resume. Except it never resumes... So I have to go into offline mode, cancel the download, then go online and restart it. I have to find this out through a non-EA-affiliated user on the EA forums because the actual EA Community Managers are fucking stupid and post generic advice for fixing download *speed* issues.

Anyway, so I'm sitting here, it's doing something, a bar is filling up. It's about done.

And then... it actually moves to downloading. Wait, what?

What the hell was it doing for that hour??

The download is now going 14 MB/s.

Battlefield 5 isn't available anywhere else.

Although I don't necessarily want to even play it that badly, I'm really tempted to just shut the whole thing down.

When I first was downloading the patch it said "preparing 53 GB" and then I had to restart the download and it was like 47 GB and now that it's actually downloading it's only 36 GB? What the shit.

I only use Steam, Origin and GOG but of the 3 Origin is by far the worst.

More than once I've had to fight just to fucking log into it

Yeah, they still haven't fixed DPI scaling so the text on the window is all blurry and shit. And last few times I used it (probably a year ago now) I had issues where my desktop had a deadzone where Origin notifications would pop up, and the sound in games would disappear unless I alt-tabbed a few times.
