I played Gale of Darkness first, and that's where my heart belongs; couldn't get into Colloseum to save my life, and the only reason I toughed it out was to get some legendary that was exclusive to that game in gen3 (Ho-oh, I think?).

I helps that like 70% of the people in the game are criminals.

Everyone in Team Snagem and Cipher plus a lot of people in the Under/ Pyrite and some random thugs elsewhere.

Colosseum turned me off so hard I never really touched XD lol. The Shadow mechanic is so annoying. But I eventually suffered through it to get Bayleef in my GBA games.

What really sold me on XD was that it has a fucking amazing soundtrack. Might genuinely be my favorite in any Pokemon game, including R/S/E. Plus it had a slightly better story than Colloseum, in retrospect.
