Set up a strict chores routine and rules for cleaning right from the get-go.

Also, keep your finances separate and make sure you discuss your financial goals. You don't want to be stingy to the point where you won't take him out for dinner a couple times a month or something, but you don't want to be on the hook for buying *every single thing* the household needs, unless it's balanced out by him paying utilities or something.

That sounds cute and all until you get into an argument and it turns into a "you never scrub the toilet after you take a dump" "Oh yeah, well you always use the last of my soap and I have to scrub with a wet towel" back and forth BS thing with no resolution.

So, it's just something to consider. Hell you can even do the chores together.

Also it's a good idea to set up designated personal time once or twice a week where you each just go out and do your own things separately. Co-dependency is a real pain in the ass.

Ok, well I guess one annoying thing about roommates is... being in the kitchen when your roommate also needs to use the kitchen

Maybe have an organized morning routine

Two sets of sheets and blankets if you're going to be sharing a bed. Eliminates the fighting over warmth problem, the feeling like the blankets are too small problem, and the everyone likes different materials/weights/heat problem.
