For instance, when Admiral was demodded and first warned, the general would have had alot of activity. Certain users would exclaim joy, then become comrades as they share an interest in users like Admiral getting warned. This I believe explains one group you refer to as the brigade becoming a thing. Then, just like in Batman, if Batman exists, so does the Joker. I am not saying either group is Batman or Joker, but that when one insular group is created, it forces another which is opposite of it to be created too. There are other groups too I guess.
