any tips/tricks to avoid toxic parents?

its me with the comfy NEET mindset, with a pretty ok mum (the only person i can call family) and an alcholic/nicotine-addicted dad (im surpised how he hasnt destroyed his lungs and liver yet) who is a strong believer in "facing reality" (in a pessimistic way like accepting without any resistance) and is hell bent on pressuring me to do something with my life. its funny how he disregards whatever i do that does not have to do with getting a god damn job. even my fucking therapist tells me that i'll "eventually have to get a job" and when i tell her no she refuses to listen. i even debated with the woman for an hour about how life is a scam and the only thing she could say afterward was "well, this is life, you have to accept it."

i dont think i could/would/should sell my life away only to look death in the face when my time comes, and by the time im afraid i would be mentally insane. im grateful for the financial provision i have now, but like i would just want them to leave me alone. i skimp and save, and dont even interact with them but they always hound me (in a passive aggressive way). i often hear them conspiring against me, discussing me in a manner that disrespects my privacy. how do i avoid them, in a way thats not too hurtful but enough to tell them to stop harassing me?
