A large TULIP sculpture given to Paris as a tribute of the 2015 terrorist attacks is MOCKED on social media for looking PORNOGRAPHIC and like a MARSHMALLOW!!

The bouquet of Tulips sculpture was given by US Artist, jeff Koons that was unveiled near the Champs Elysees and done in his typical style, it received backlash from users...

The 40 foot high piece depicts a giant hand squeezing a bouquet of eleven colourful tulips, a flower that symbolizes love

Koons said he created this to show Americans' support and solidarity for French people after the attacks where 130 people were killed

He said "I did, as a citizen in New York, experience 9/11 and the depression that hung over the city. It really took years for the city to be able to come to life again"

He said 80% of the proceeds from selling the copyright of the artwork will go to the victim's families and remaining 20% dedicated to its maintenance

Dominique Kielemoes, who lost her son in the attacks said "The memory, commemorations, art, everything we do that can recall the memory of our loved ones is vital"

Philosopher Yves Michaud said this scultupre is "11 coloured anuses mounted on stems"

On twitter user, Rosa Rosam said now Parisians will think of these tulips as giant coloured marshmallows

But Paris Mayor, Anne Hidalgo said she was happy to have this in their city and called it a work of art in and as a magnificant symbol of freedom and friendship of all people
