Seriously holy crap Yoshi's Island aged like fine wine

Which is weird since I don't like any of the other Yoshi titles

They'll never make a Yoshi's Island but with supped up graphics like on the brawl stage. Though the weird arts and crafts style isn't that bad!

It's weird because Nintendo cannot top that one with other Yoshi products.

You have to understand the difference in target audiences tbh.

Yoshis Island was created as the sequel to SMW.

Modern-day Yoshi games are created with kids in mind.

I grew up playing Stunt Race FX, aged or not that shit is dope.

Also, NES Online should have had at least 1 RPG. Breath of Fire, for a newbie like me, is an excellent addition to the service. Like damn, imagine if the year of NES games brought us Dragon Quest I-IV - some games with actual longevity. NES Online got fucking Donkey Kong 3, of all games.

I liked a handful of NES titles, but these SNES picks are fantastic. More rollouts like these, including the odd RPG from time to time, and I will be the happiest of campers.

Id love RPGs on the service... but itd be an incredible value to get them from a service that costs $20/year. I think thats why we havent seen many yet... that being said, itd be cool to see Earthbound, a Quintet game, maybe even an FF game show up (highly doubtful on that because Square shoves ports off to every console and they would lose money on this)

That's fair enough. I would have still loved something a bit more substantial on the NES service, and that's from someone who got a lot of mileage out of Dr. Mario with a group of friends.

And even then, the NES library has had some pretty inspired choices. I really like City Connection and Wrecking Crew, and I love Donkey Kong Jr. But regardless of cost, I would have enjoyed some sort of RPG on the service. There may be logistics in the way, but it would have been nice regardless.

That's a possibility. I will say that Breath of Fire has a Squaresoft logo on the front due to the translation, and both the original Final Fantasy and FF6 appeared on the Nintendo Classic Consoles. Even FF7 appeared on the PlayStation Classic. They don't seem shy to lend their games to compilation services.

But I can understand this sentiment, and I wouldn't be wholly surprised if this ended up being the truth.

I don't think any generation advanced gaming as much as the 16 bit era did.

16 bit games held up significant better than the 32/64 bit era, and in some ways better than the PS2 era.

Yea, some of the best games of all time are on there right now and I was most excited for Stunt Race FX. I haven't touched that game since it was first released so I was psyched. It honestly doesn't hold up that well, but it is still a lot of fun. Even by today's standards the actual courses are incredibly well designed. When I was a kid it felt like I was in the game driving through these varied worlds and not many games can do that.

Amazing game for the time (even if the framerate sucks)
