Can I link my Nintendo Account to more than one Nintendo Switch console?

You can link your Nintendo Account to multiple consoles. You can play digital games you've purchased on any Nintendo Switch console that has been linked to your Nintendo Account.

Please note that you can register one primary consoleper Nintendo Account. Once you've registered a primary console, your digital purchases can be played by anyone that uses the primary console. Other players will not be able to access your digital games on a non-primary console.


So basically any number of Switches with your account on it can be used to play your digital purchases, and your primary console can have its digital purchases played by any account.

That's... Unusually consumer friendly for Nintendo. It used to be that purchases were tied to literally one console.

If you pay for internet you even get cloud saves... but IIRC they are deleted if you unsub even only for a month or two.

Does that mean save data from physical games can be copied to another console? Because if so that'll make my brother happy, he's planning on buying that mobile only switch because his docked switch is always in the hands of the little kids

So basically you could have a TV Switch and a Lite for the road.

Although the new regular Switch has better battery life. The Lite has better ergonomics though
