Quick Play now permanently has the role queue attached to it

their solution? Add Quick Play CLASSIC to the arcade rotation

I never tried the Role Queue comp thing because my computer was on the fritz for a few weeks

I just realized we never made a topic about Sigma. We just didn't give a fuck, huh?

It's the same thing they did when they implemented character limits: they added "No Limits" permanently to the Arcade.

Honestly it's kinda refreshing to get a mode in the arcade I can play for loot boxes that isn't so gimmicky. Also Sigma is busted and basically a better Rein in every way

I think I finally gave up when I did not reinstall even when Sigma came out to give him a try.

Game is basically done at this point as far as I'm concerned. Personally pro Overwatch 2 being real.

Role queue really adds a lot in my opinion. You get two people who specifically signed up to play support in EVERY GAME. Forced teamwork goes a long way in a game like this

Theres no way Activision/Blizzard is gonna abandon OW1 after investing so much money into the league and everything. Maybe we will see an expansion of some kind, but I really wouldnt expect a brand new OW2 or anything for a while.

Honestly my biggest issue is every character I love they have fundamentally changed in a way that makes me not enjoy playing them anymore.
Symettra was the last straw. I assume Junkrat is still fine, haven't looked at the game since the Hamster to check, but... It's not enough.

personally, i think the "overwatch 2" rumours are probably true in that there is a large overwatch development project happening, but i can't imagine it's a new version of the game. that would add nothing to the table. there's nothing mechanically wrong with Overwatch to warrant this, it would just be the same characters in the same modes on a new engine at best

i think it's probably a large scale addition to the currently existing Overwatch game - like a giant PVE campaign, or a looter shooter mode, or something. Something utilizing the currently existing assets but in a completely different way that the normal Overwatch team isn't quite able to capitalize on beyond the little event modes they do.

Wait how did they change Symettra negatively? Dropping her turret count from 6 to 3? She's completely busted right now because they fixed some tick rate issue with her left click (and Zarya) so now she melts people at full charge.

I've always found it odd that each skin has a slot where you can look at the weapons for the skin. I know they added the option to make weapons golden but it seems like it was designed to give character multiple weapons in the future ala TF2. A big expansion that gives everyone a 2nd weapon would be very interesting

I enjoyed the lock. Without the lock I don't like Symettra. I don't get any enjoyment from her sustained hitsscan beam.

This should also be taken in the context that I stopped caring about regular games LONG before I quit playing, and for the last 4 or 5 months I played I was completely uninterested in anything other than Total Mayhem.

But yeah, don't like new Torb. Don't like new Roadhog. There was more character changes I hated but I've forgotten since it's been a while.

Ha I forgot she even had a lock-on beam honestly. I like all of the changes they've made to heroes but I hate all of the heroes they've added since Ana (except Wreckingball).

Real talk: this is the main problem with Overwatch's sustained popularity as a game. It built its initial design on giving a bunch of characters ridiculous abilities and going "all the wackiness will balance each other out!". But as the game has progressed, people optimized the dumb crap (anyone remember early Widowmaker?) and it became extremely unfun to play against. So they either remove the dumb crap and make the fans of those characters mad, or they leave it in and everyone else has a bad time fighting them.

Nothing has ever been more fun in Overwatch to me than the TM match full where the healer and comp ratio just happened to work out in a way where me and another Symettra continuously had our beams on eachother in a 10+ Character brawl nonstop outside of the reload for over 4 minutes on the final payload point overtime without either of us dying. That's the magic for me.

I don't think they can do anything to make me care about a regular match anymore. When I play normal Overwatch, it feel 5 times worse to lose a match than how good it feel to win one. I guess that's what happens after 4000 hours of logged playtime: you're just over it.

There are aspects of Torb I miss

I enjoyed providing armor for people and Lvl 3 turret was the best, as well as like, tripling your health

but lets not forget

Building up a lvl 1 turret was the WORST

His new moveset's pros out weighs his old pros

hes WAY more viable on attack than he was before

I miss in TM, people solo ulting my lvl 2 turrets (usually dva and junk) and when you pop your ult, you and your turret survive because you have like 1100 HP

I miss that too
