We have 20 seats in the EU Parliament and they will be distributed amongst the parties which get +4% of the votes.

A major poll was just released and if real it gives this result:

5 seats (+/-0) Socialdemocrats
4 seats (+1) Conservatives
3 seats (+1) Nationalists
2 seats (+1) Neoliberals
2 seats (-2) Greens
2 seats (+1) Christian Democrats
1 seat (+/-0) Far Left
1 seat (-1) Liberals
0 seats (-1) Feminist Initative

A lot has changed regarding immigration over the past 4 years but you asked about our far right party so Im gonna tell you about them.

Sverigedemokraterna, SD, was founded in 1988 by a man named Gustaf Ekstrm and some like-minded individuals. Ekstrm was a literal Nazi, an officer in the SS, who managed to cover up his crimes against humanity until his death.

The current SD-leader has put plenty of effort into polishing SDs exterior but he joined the party in 1998 when it was openly neo-nazi. Many other current members have been part of the group since the early days as well. SDs party programme still mention that different nationalities have different inherited essences within them and some essences are deemed better than others.

If you look at the details of SDs views on issues like immigrants, LGBT-people, abortion and womens rights then you will see that they are a party of extremists at its core. UKIP for example refused to work with SD in the EU Parliament since they found SD too extreme.

Then we have the fact that their economic and trade policies dont add up and would cripple our economy thats currently quite strong with a low national debt.

the main issue there is that, for a long time, every major party that wasn't SD had the opinion that anything related to Immigration should just be completely ignored, as they thought that if it was discussed at all in any way, it would do just give more power to "dark forces"

this pretty much gave SD a monopoly on the issue for a long time.
