I have one friend whose parents own a farm. They're really struggling due to the tariffs.

I have another friend whose husband did factory work, but was laid off as a result of the tariffs.

So other than being embarrassed to be American I can't say I've been personally effected, but I know real people that have gotten fucked over by his policies.

On a positive note I've seen a couple hicks brag about an extra 20 bucks on their pay check due to tax cuts lmao

It might now. The arrest of the Huawei CFO by Canada at the request of the US has made living in China very worrysom. A third Canadian was arrested yesterday, this time a teacher. Trump is making things worse by turning it into a political thing and claiming he would step in if he had the right insentives.

If she is eventually extradited to the US then things could get really bad for Canadians here. She isn't just some random business executive, her family is extremely tight with the president and government.

Of course she is. She's also a criminal who broke international law by selling US technology to Iran in the name of profit. She's as guilty as they come.

I feel bad for the teacher, but all she got was 10 days of detention for working for an employer other than the one stated on her visa.

Inflation has increased by 2.6% from the Obama administration, he's effected everyone through rising prices (food, rent/housing, insurance costs, medical care, services, etc all went up by 2.6%). Combined with the fact that government has grown larger under his administration, and he hasn't fixed any of the problems that the US is facing only making them worse, Trump being a snake-oil salesman and a complete idiot is effecting every American.
