Not tipping is like not vaccinating your kids. Sure, you don't have to do it, but you're totally fine benefiting from lower prices because everyone else tips, right?

And then eventually enough assholes will start doing it that my Cheesecake Factory meal with have a 15-20% mandatory gratuity and I will never again have a server that's motivated to please me.

Look, Im a server and the irony is that guests who take up most of my time with unfathomable modifications, 4+ refills of water each, making me cut their personal pizza because it wasnt sliced all the way, adding free cheese to their burger because they forgot to ask and I decided to hook them up...these are the guests that leave shitty tips, as in $4 on a $102 tab (yes, this is an actual table I had yesterday).

Meanwhile, 6 of my other tables last night managed to tip me 18% or more. You look cheap and moronic when youre a grown ass man or woman, you come to a sit down restaurant, and you fail to understand or accept the social norm that its customary to tip. If you can afford to spend $102 on food thats been obviously marked up, you can surely afford to help your server out by paying for their service.

You know damn well they were serving you and trying their best with the expectation of a tip, and you robbed that from them. But like I said, you only look cheap in the process. Eat at home or go to Subway if tipping is too much of a burden.
