Internet searching says fibromyalgia, but I'm not sure that is what's going on.

No matter what it is, something ain't right.

I'm not a doctor and have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'd probably just take a hot shower without shampoo, soap, etc, and use a wash cloth to scrub myself down. The point being to rinse off any products that might be causing the irritation.

This has been going on for several weeks by the way.
It started just on my thighs so I thought it was the jogging pants I was wearing but I haven't worn them for a week. In additional the sensation is now on different parts of my body (stomach, waist area).

I would blame it on something like detergent or soap, but I was using the same soap before this started and I haven't changed my detergent.

Try using less detergent? Or maybe switch to an all-natural one. I think most people use way too much. I mean I can smell it from the window when half of my neighbors do their laundry. Can't be good for the skin.

If I were you I'd probably see a doctor if it's gone on for this long though.

The human body is so weird. Ive had sensations like that. Not for weeks at a time, though.

Allergies can develop at any time, btw, so not having changed your products is no guarantee its not an allergy.

Is it both thighs/sides of the body? If its on only one side, consider shingles, even if theres no rash. Shingles affects the nerves, but it doesnt cross the midpoint. (My 12 year old got shingles, so its not just older people.)

fibromyalgia is a catch all disorder since you can attribute pretty much any unexplained pain to it.

symptom like you've described can be caused by a hell of a lot of things. hormone imbalance, stress and anxiety, shingles, multiple sclerosis, i'm sure other things... is there any pattern to the burning? you said your thighs, is it a patch or does it feel like its in a line? shingles generally inflames nerve tracts and can progress so moving up from your thighs to your stomach/back is possible, but its also pretty rare to not present with a rash or welts.

you should probably go to a dermatologist, especially if it's beginning to bother you.

I have this problem in my leg sometimes. I was diagnosed with sciatica and neuropathy, and my doctor gave me Lyrica. Too bad I'm out and have no refills left.

Go see a doctor TC.
