Dio is great. Dio is my hero. Dio is life. I haven't liked an anime character this much since Light from Death Note.

I would love to see a whole series of Dio and some other guy like Joestar keep at it in intrigue and political bouts. Now, the whole supernatural vampire thing and the ripple powers.... eeehhhhhh. I think I knew this was coming and I hope it doesn't ruin Dio into some contrived super villain and Joestart into a cookiecutter Superman. This is supposed to get REALLY GOOD in part 2 or whatever, man i guess we'll see. right now JoJo is dipping downward for me after a great start.

Also lmao at Joestar Sr. taking a knife in the back from Dio and him being like, "I guess I deserved this; Dio is still my son and I love him"

Part 2 is MUCH better in terms of storytelling, so if you like the characters just stick through until then. Ripple also only lasts for the first 2 parts and is replaced by the more iconic "Stand" system, so if you don't love ripple that's temporary as well.

But yes, DIO is love, DIO is life.

1st part of Jojo is by far the worst part. It gets much better.

FWIW though, part 1 isn't even that bad imo, just not as good as the rest of the series.

Dio appears only in Parts 1 and 3, and 6.

In 3 hes a background piece until the final fight, but has a very good showing.

In 6 hes only shown in flashbacks that take place in Part 3, but before the heroes find out about him.

Part 6 has the most depth of character for Dio, but how it characterizes him might be controversial depending on what you liked about him before

Part 5 so far is 10/10

You mean part 7, and that's a different Dio. Though I guess technically the one we know makes an appearance.

The dub's about 1/3 of the way through Diamond right now. It's on Toonami every week.

That said, while the dub for season 1 is amazing, you do miss all of the hilarious Engrish in the Japanese version. I personally like the dub better, though.

The dubs for the later seasons are only alright, though, imo.

Great series, although it doesn't hit its stride until part two. The anime is currently up to part five, so have fun experiencing it.

Josuke and Koichi sound alright imo. Haven't gotten to Kira yet, but I'm really hoping they make him sound great since he was the best part of Part 4 for me.

part 3 is horrible, and Im taking a lengthy break before attempting part 4 because of how bad 3 was.

I overall didn't like Part 4, but y'know...different strokes. A lot of people say Part 4 is the best part. I personally think Part 2 and Part 5 are my favs right now.

It doesnt take much to be better than DBZ no matter the genre, and Jojo is far better.
