that was so bad.

I was happy for the Coven at the end but the whole season was a total wash and the final scene made everything kind of irrelevant.

also I loved Coven a lot, but it didn't need a second season. Also the original season was all about exploring magic and the dark arts in the context of New Orleans with real New Orleans history and urban legends and voodoo and shit. That was cool.

This was just witches and warlocks talking for five hours.

Yeah, it started so well and was incredibly consistent and then that eighth episode hit.

I take it it didn't end with an actual apocalypse from the ghost baby. So glad I stopped watching this series

I was gonna make a topic earlier today with basically this same opinion and laughing at those who said this was turning out to be one of the best seasons.

It feels like the show paused to do a flashback which ended up being 95% of the rest of the show. I seriously thought they'd spend an episode or two in a flashback and then move on. But they never did and the flashback never went further than "look at how evil but unorganized this prick is".

It fell apart earlier than other seasons and I actually liked Michael Langdon. They rushed the fuck out of it and it felt like nothing really happened.

And then they reversed everything with time travel of all things, including the best parts of the season, which was the Murder House closure. And now there's another Antichrist out there. Nothing was stopped. This would have been fine if the show ended, but there's 2 more seasons.

Also I'm mad that Satan did not show up despite being a main in season 2. It's not like Lily Rabe wasn't in the same fucking episode. Also hated how the opening credits spoiled Angela Bassett and Jessica Lange. Heck, the trailers for the last episode was already clear enough this is where they were going.

That first episode was giving me a legit anxiety attack. And the final season had some really good action (though it was predictable as hell for the most part).

Just everything in between was so garbage -_-

Over half the season flashbacks to before the apocalypse and shows how he caused it. He joins the warlock coven and attempts to take the role of Supreme from Cordelia, essentially by using his antichrist powers to brute-force the Seven Wonders test. But the Coven learns that he's the antichrist, take out all the warlocks that were backing him, and kill his Satan worshiping foster mom...and that's when the season falls apart.

He sort of loses his faith because he failed, but he wanders across a group of lame-ass devil worshipers. But despite being fucking pathetic, they apparently did actually make deals with the devil so one of them puts him in contact with two super rich dude-bros with terrible bowlcuts who traded their souls for money, the knowledge to make sexbots, and the ability to snort an infinite amount of cocaine. They make a fostermom robot to replace his, he and mombot go kill all the witches except a few, and then dude-bro bowlcuts use his mom to manipulate the actual fucking Antichrist into meeting with them again. Turns out dude-bro bowlcuts are part of the Illuminati who are all devil worshipers, so he uses them to start nuclear war.

It eventually ends up back in post-apocalypse with the witches facing against a full-power Antichrist. Their only chance is to keep the new Supreme safe because she has the power to - hahahaha - time travel. He rolls over pretty much all of them, but Cordelia kills herself which lets the Supreme power flow from her into the new one which allows her to succeed.

So the Antichrist, the end of days, the child birthed from spirit and flesh, is defeated by a time traveling witch who runs him over with a Toyota when he's young.

@LockeMonster - Do you think or know they're going to continue this crap with the antichrist in the next two seasons? One season was enough, especially when they ruined some of the shit from previous seasons.

Him getting run over by the SUV was one of my favorite scenes of the season (though most of it was just people talking and nothing happening so that doesn't mean much).

I was still confused as shit why she didn't like... get out to make sure he was actually dead...

The actual scene of it was hilarious, I won't lie. But the fact that is how the Antichrist died is just laughable.

It wasn't even from a real character. Mallory was a plot device with no personality or backstory. All we got was that her parents thought she was a devil worshiper, she cared about the coven, and she was best friends with Coco. Her mindwiped character was more interesting. Coco herself went through a better story arc.

After Cult, Ryan Murphy had said there's a season coming up that crosses over Murder House and Coven and then another season that's going to be in the future. They ended this season going up to 2024, so it might be a season 10 thing. IDK.

There are also theories that Timothy and Emily (the couple at the end) are Kit Walker's (Evan Peters in S2) descendants and the aliens will return...

This bugged me a lot.

She just saw everything perish and so much was sacrificed to send her back in time and she just rolls over him three times, gives a "yeah bitch" look and drives off. I feel like that's one of those things where you pretty much gotta decapitate the head.

She was way better in Cult. I feel like she was really wasted this season. Hope she's in future ones because she's hot.

That would be dumb because, at best, Timothy and Emily would be cousins. I prefer the idea that Emily is Lee's daughter from Roanoke. Not the one that was in the house, but the one that disappeared from her car years before they went to the house.

Dude I couldn't even remember Tim and Emily when they showed up at the end, I think I got two minutes into the scene before realizing it was the couple from the beginning. Did the aliens even do anything in Asylum?

If they're going to be doing crossover BS more than previous seasons they just need to do a spin-off series :\

I just don't get the point then xd.

I mean, this season was confusing enough recycling characters (and subsequently actors) two, sometimes three times.

It also just missed the mark but a really long mile. The whole show to me has always been about celebrating classic urban legends and history in a dark way. It's usually not even deep, just dark (except Cult).

So I anticipated a similar thing with Apocalypse. I expected the Outposts were going to be Fallout-style Vaults with weird experiments and that the survivors were going to have to explore alternate ones to realize that... I was not expecting Coven 2.
