Almost a 3 hour set. Fantastic show. Didn't play Can You Feel the Love Tonight or Circle of Life, though. Wonder if he has to pay Disney to use those songs or if he just hates those songs? Played pretty much everything else I'd hoped for.

How was PotD's night, last night?

What did you watch? When we got back to the hotel I watched an episode of Barry. My wife was too tired to put her vagina on my penis so I watched a little TV myself.

He did not :/

After the show my wife and I talked about songs we wish he'd played, and that was one of them. He played most of the hits, I can't think of the full set list off the top of my head, but he played Candle in the Wind, I'm Still Standing, Daniel, Tiny Dancer, Crocodile Rock, Benny and the Jets, Your Song, Someone Saved My Life, Saturday Night is Alright for Fighting... There was way more I know it. Oh, The Bitch is Back...

This is supposedly his farewell tour but it's like a three-year world tour.

He'll probably do reunion shows two years after his farewell tour wraps lol

Levon and Tony Dancer. Good.

I watched A Million Little Things and Psych. Btw the only reason I started watching A Million Little Things is that it has James Roday

He wrote them, I'm pretty sure he can do what he wants with them.

That's not how licensing works.

He kept his pants on so I'm not sure, but I'd assume so.

Hard to pick one. Rocket Man is great. Tiny Dancer is up there. Levon. Burn the Mission Down.

Always had a soft spot for Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Never even heard of that show but I like Psych.

It was very enjoyable :) lots of drunk 50-something white women dancing in the aisles and 20-something security personnel trying to politely and fruitlessly usher them back to their seats. Highly entertaining.

Did he have his organ?

Seriously though, he had a grand piano that could move from one end of the stage to the other, but no organ. He had a keyboardist in the band that used organ sounds on a couple songs, though. He stuck to his piano for the most part except to soak in applause here and there and talk to the crowd. His ego was on full display and it was wonderful :) at one point he talked about how one of his albums was his "favorite Elton John album" and how there are no good musicians any more, lamenting Prince's passing in that same moment. Was hoping he would play a Prince cover after that but he didn't.

Nice. I don't listen to Elton John in particular but what music I have, I do enjoy. The only artist I probably want to see live is Weird Al Yankovic. At 58 years old, hopefully that is young enough that he doesn't retire anytime soon. How did Elton John sounded live? About the same? Given the vocal cord is a muscle, singing seems to be one of those things that over the years one would notice a difference in what the artist can or cannot do anymore.
