I started watching it and it looks like it's from 1977 not 2007 and the video quality is garbage but now I want to know how they justify the virus surviving.

Ok so the US military wants the virus because the US and Soviet Union both developed a system that basically makes nuclear missiles meaningless, so they need to develop something new.

This is a 1:48 long movie and it's at 33 minutes now and I think I see where they got the "nuclear missile" part from.

Basically everyone is dead except for people in Antarctic stations and the president was dying and the evil asshole Colonel just came in and "demanded" that the President issue the order to activate their strategic weapons and the president was already dead and now the Colonel's going off to launch nukes.

I wonder if this was the sequel to the Day After.

Was that the one where the satellite blasts an alien signal down to a ship in the ocean and it starts manufacturing crazy shit? I never got to see the end of that movie, had to go to bed with like 15 minutes left lol
