I'm building my first gaming PC at the start of the year. I could do it now but I currently don't have a place to put it so I have to wait. I'm actually getting really excited to finally become a PC gamer.

So, I've never used Steam before. So there is a massive Library of games I have never played before. What are your top 10 steam games of All Time? I'm curious so I can use you guys as a reference when I finally start playing. When it released doesn't matter to me BTW. As long as its great.

I mean... Most of the games I play on Steam are also available on consoles. I didn't get PC for exclusive games, I got it for 60 FPS and fast load times.

Pretty much I just wait to confirm the PC port is good then buy it there, then I have a PS4 for shit like Persona and Spider-man that don't come to PC.

I'll keep a note of these. Overwatch is my favorite game this gen and I heard it took a lot of inspiration from TF2. I'm guessing that game is still populated.

Also, check out Final Fantasy 14 (it's an MMO).

I was really interested in that game but I didn't have access to it. That might be the first one I get. I'm glad I'm currently on Xbox. All my games will carry over to PC once I make the switch.

Too many in too many different genres imo. It might help to list the kinds of games you like.

Ah. I see what you're saying. I'm mainly a FPS guy but I keep my ear to the ground for those type of games so I know most of them.

If I had to suggest a genre it would be RPGs and MMOs. Maybe strategy as well.

CS:GO is a game I'm looking forward to. I bought it on Xbox 360 back in the day but I was very let down because it didn't have my controller scheme. That shouldn't be a problem on PC.

I'm currently playing Destiny. I know it looks great and feels great on PC but I might not play it on there. I know the game will transfer over from Xbox but the DLC might not. If it doesn't then it's Xbox only because I'm not buying Forsaken again.

Warframe is a game I never got into but I hear how great it is. I REALLY need to give that game a fair shake.

One game I'm also looking forward to Rainbow Six Seige. R6 has the same controller scheme issue as CS: GO so I never bought it. Been VERY interested in that game since I saw the first trailer but I just can't play it.

I don't have a top ten but my advice is to buy a handful of games throughout the year and a majority of what you'd buy during the summer sale.

Also look into gog, humble bundle (store and monthly bundles), and Amazon to see if they're cheaper there - might be the case for some older games.

Thoughts on World of Warcraft? Were you planning on playing that (it's a non-Steam game; Blizzard has their own downloadable app for it).

I've given it some real thought. I've always wanted to play WoW since I was a kid. Now I might be so far behind I'm not sure if it's even worth me diving in at this point.

Mine's the super basic list:

1 - Kerbal Space Program

2 - Planet Coaster (substitute with Cities Skylines if you prefer city building over theme park building)

3 - Life is Strange

4 - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

5 - Witcher 3

6 - Fallout: New Vegas

7 - Alpha Protocol

8 - Deus Ex (and Invisible War. Newer games are just alright.)

9 - Counter-Strike, of some kind. My fondest memories are from 1.6 and Source but Global Strike is a pretty solid experience. It just doesn't strike me visually like the older games do.

10 - Postal 2

BONUS If you're a super hardcore gamer:

From The Depths - it has an absurdly, really STUPIDLY complex construction system but if you practice it... it is so cool. You can build ships, submarines, aircraft... hybrid... things, aircraft carriers, etc., and you basically build (or capture) a fleet and capture resource points on a giant map. It is the hardest thing I've ever played next to Dwarf Fortress but it is so fun.

edit: I think literally only one of those is a Steam exclusive title but ... I think you meant PC games in general so that list should apply.
