i was at a 5th / night for a couple of years. i tried to regulate / cut back numerous times but that only lasted like a week and then i was right back at it, full force.

i got pretty close to losing my job. i used to call off so much that HR got involved and told me that i needed to stop missing so much work. then once i called in sick and my boss flat out said "im going out to lunch and if you aren't in the office when i get back you're fired."

i also looked like absolute shit. i gained a bunch of weight (peaked at 210, now im 150) and my face was constantly swollen/puffy looking and my cheeks were always red.

i can't say exactly what sparked my "moment of clarity", but something magically clicked inside my head and i decided i was done.

if you ever want to talk/chat about this feel free to reach out. i'm also on discord if you prefer that. you can do it.

No but they are a light beer and only have 3.5% alcohol.

I'll metaphorically shake you by the hand. This is my tenth year. People imagine that if you've managed to stay dry this long, it must have become easy. They kind of forget that the reason you don't drink isn't because you hate it, but because you love it (too much).
