You can give I am Setsuna or Lost Sphear a whirl. They are more traditional JRPG.

i hear that there xenoblade chronicles 2 is a decent pick up

Pretty much none. All new RPGs are either shit, action/open-world, or both.

But in terms of open action RPGs, Xenoblade 1 (not the others) is insanely good. The gameplay far surpasses FFX, and the narrative is almost as good. Music and presentation is also on par.

The Persona games are turn based but totally different in every other way. Still amazing if you want an epic length RPG though. I would recommend P3P, P4G, then P5 (or the inevitable remaster that comes out in a couple years).
