Its a Remington Model 11, Basically their version of the Browning Auto-5. This particular one was made in 1928 or 1929, hard for me to pinpoint with the information Ive gathered. It doesnt have the original barrel, this actually has a newer Browning barrel that was cut down at some point. Its similar in appearance to one used by Clyde Barrow. The finish is rough but it doesnt bother me.




These cycle with a unique recoil operation in which the barrel moves rearward with the bolt, the barrel then moves forward, the shell ejects and the bolt carries the new round to the chamber.

I also picked up a couple of red dots for my PS90 and one of my ARs. Ive never been into optics but I thought I would give them a try. The PS90 basically has to have one, put it on a very low profile mount and ditched the high rail it came with.

The one on the PS90 is a Primary Arms Advanced Micro Red Dot, the one on the AR is a Vortex Sparc AR. Both are entry level red dots with good reviews, if I end up liking the PA AMRD I will probably shell out the money for an Aimpoint.

That long-recoil operation is an old system that really only works on on shotguns by today's standards. It's interesting though, and the Auto-5 was a landmark design (One of many from the Gun Messiah John Browning).

You'll be very satisfied with the red dots, as long as they're a good brand. Red dots are one of the most practical and most flexible optics available and the difference in sighting time and accuracy is significant.

Primary Arms is always one of the best budget choices (and one of my favorite companies to order online from because their shipping to me is practically overnight). I would have bought one of their prism scopes for my AR but happened to catch a deal on a Vortex for the same price.

Just eye-balling it, that's probably the shortest barrel you can legally put on it without it being a short-barrel rifle.

Ive heard good things so I got the PA. The Vortex was $200 with 10 pmags so I couldnt pass it up.

What is a P90 like? The way it is portrayed in video games, it's great, with a large magazine, and sometimes really powerful ammo, as well. What is it like in real life? It also seems quite small and portable (unlike an AK47 or something).

The PS90 is semi-auto only for civilian sale, so it isn't very comparable to a true P90. The PS90 is a pleasant shooting pistol carbine for short- to mid-ranges with an effective cartridge, but without automatic fire it is limited mostly to that. It's a good self-defense weapon but the over-penetration of the 5.7mm round is probably sub-optimal compared to JHP 9mm weapons.

The P90 by most accounts is an accurate and effective paramilitary weapon with unusually controllable automatic fire given how high its rate of fire is. The 50-round standard mags seems impressive but because of the high-rate of fire it can still go through a magazine fairly quickly. It's very specialized for its purpose of close-quarters combat and obsolete for other applications by virtue of assault rifles being so, so good.

P90 is a great gun but I'd never buy just because of the long barrel. Same with an uzi, iconic gun but the civilian version with the long barrel looks fucking stupid

P90 with a long barrel and semi-auto-only defeats basically the whole purpose of the gun.

PS90 exists basically so you can "get close" and pretend you've got the real thing, which to me is the logic behind airsoft.

A PS90 is not much different than any other pistol carbine, but it's still a very good quality gun and very fun to shoot. Not to mention a good self-defense tool. You can justify buying one just like justifying buying any pistol carbine--Many of which are civilian or pistol-caliber variants of other guns.
