So there's this song yellow diamond sings, right

But this isn't a normal musical song, as in usually these songs aren't ACTUALLY being sung in the canon of the story. the song is just a representation of conversation or whatever

but in this one, yellow diamond tells the pearls to sing. so this song IS in canon

but like, how did they all know the words?? even the blue pearl knew the words

it JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE

i hope someone got fired for THIS blunder

Aren't all the songs canon within the show though? Maybe certain ones are just representative of conversation, but you can't argue that Strong in the Real Way or Peace and Love on the Planet Earth don't take place in real-time...

And anyway the pearls are just following Yellow's lead for the most part. 90% of their lines are either repeating what she says, reacting to it with interpretive dance, or singing background vocals. Sure the other ten percent is being sung with her simultaneously, but Yellow D's rhyming scheme wasn't exactly complex. They might have just guessed at where she was going with her next lyrics. *shrug*
