Entitlements out of control? Getting a handle on our debt?

This guy knows he's a democrat, right?

The crazies who have hijacked the dnc will be smearing this dude in no time. Oh, wait:

And I suppose a Canadian's opinion matters more than the opinions of Trump supporters?

If you are considering your very first political run to be a major national leader you aren't sensible. If Howard Schultz actually is considering a 2020 Presidental run, he isn't sensible.

I can't wait for Howard Schultz to finish 7th in Iowa. His constituency is half a dozen pundits who haven't left the beltway in decades.

yes

his opinion is at worst neutral in its value to a democrat's decision-making

but when i get a suggestion from someone who benefits from me screwing up my best plan of action is 'do the opposite'

yep he is right about it

but coming out against UHC is not rational

it is easy to pay for, it's just that the paying for it requires a change that would be phenomenally unpopular (removing the tax break for employers buying their employees insurance, which in effect makes the govt pay for half of everyone's small-group insurance plan)

I'm a republican and definitely not a Trump supporter. I didn't read the article or look into the guy but speaking in generalities I'd easily vote for a moderate democrat who isn't a terrible person over Trump.
