Context: I haven't been posting on CE for about a year. I spent some time posting on the Switch board on and off, and when things got particularly garbage over there I'd occasionally lurk CE and see what was up. I saw some threads about Doom_Art having cancer, and some CEman chipping in to buy the guy a Nintendo Switch - but I haven't heard much about him the last couple of times I've been around.

I'm completely out of the loop, and I don't know if things have taken a bad turn or if it's a tough subject or what. I just remember seeing Doom_Art around when I was active on CE, and it was a real shock to hear that he had cancer. Anything could have happened since I last saw the topic, and I acknowledge that I could be walking straight into a hornet's nest like a fucking asshole, but I ask out of genuine concern and genuine ignorance of his current condition.

Can anyone update me on how he's doing?

Treatment is going reasonably well. I get my drugs on Mondays and am usually out of commission til Thursday or Friday. Only have thrown up a handful of times.

My prognosis is pretty good. My type of cancer is Hodgkins Lymphoma. My care staff refer to it as "the one we can cure". It has a 90% cure rate within a year and a survival rate of about 85% after 10 years.

There has been some issues with my heart. They think one of the four chemicals I get for treatment is affecting it so I'm off that drug til we figure out what's up.

As of right now I'll be done treatment in late September.
