I would take two chairs and face them outward and throw a blanket over it. My greatest dream was having a real tree house like you'd see in movies, like twenty feet off the ground and only accessible by ladder.

Are there any kids who didn't?

My neighbor had something like that. It wasn't really a treehouse since the neighborhood was new enough that there weren't really any tall enough trees for that. But his grandfather made him a fort that was good 10 feet off the ground. It was awesome.

Yeah. I had chicken pox when I was 5 and ended up building a really complex blanket fort. It had different rooms, hallways, secret doors, etc. Good times, I wish my mom let me take pictures before she made me tear it down

My brother and I when we were like 5-7 y/o would move the furniture around and drape blankets over it all. One time we set a trap for our cat with cat food in a basket that we would pull up and down. Kinda feel bad for that poor cat now X.X

When I was 14 I made one in my room with a girlfriend. It was cool to have a bit more privacy to screw around. Good times.

Heck yeah I did! Actually, what I did was use all these whole bunch of cardboard boxes to make a tunnel and sneak my way through it like Snake did In the air ducts in MGS1. It was all pretend, but I found a lot of thrill to just fantasize of being a secret agent and such. It was a lot of fun!!

As a kid I had a trundle bed (that's a bed with a second bed that slides underneath, like this: https://www.uratex.com.ph/wp-content/uploads/Elan-Trundle-Bed.jpg ).

I'd pull out the lower bed and climb underneath. Instant cave!

Mattress on the stairs = bouncy slide. Not recommended for stairs with a landing. Can also jump in a sleeping bag and slide down without the mattress.

Surprisingly no. However, my grandfather had his business right behind our house, so I used to go there and climb on wood piles pretending I was scaling some large mountain.

Me and my brother had bunk beds when kids and before part of the bottom bunk bed was complete me and my sister build a fort under it. My dad also built us a tree house once. Good times.

At work we have box fort wars where we get a bunch of duck tape and boxes and can build structures and we shoot at each other with nerf guns.
