I haven't seen this one friend in a while. Saw him recently. He still lives in his parents house at 28, never had a serious girlfriend, never got laid as far as I know. Has a crappy job.

And all he does is bitch and whine and complain about everything these days. It's like every little thing triggeres him. I can't say one word without his top blowing off

I think he has become an incel. I have a couple friends like this actually...

Just nowadays? >_> People working low-end jobs have always been pretty miserable. Some have even made movies about how miserable they are, which sometimes helped launch a happier a career where they can move up to bitching about producers who want to include giant spiders in movies and complaining about airlines denying them their second seat.

I've started to trim my contacts. I haven't the time nor energy to deal with people like the one in TC's OP. Surround yourself with people you want to truly associate with. If I can't see myself being in public with someone, I don't bother.

Agreed. There are people I have known and grew to despise for one reason or another, but don't want to stir the pot or give them any form of satisfaction. Then I realized I don't care what they think and just want them gone.

Part of it too is that I don't like living in an echo chamber. I like intelligent discussions, but the problem is that many of the people who tend to disagree with me that I know are objectively ignorant. Example (so I don't sound like a jerk by making that claim): In Canada, provincial and federal political parties are basically unrelated regardless of their name. For instance, the federal Liberal party is led by Trudeau, who is an SJW who loves raising taxes and increasing government spending. The provincial BC Liberals were formerly known as the Social Credit party (the closest thing to the GOP we had in Canada). One person I know came at me and basically did not even understand that there was a difference between federal and provincial politics at all. He kept mixing the two up during his rambling, incoherent response, and was totally unwilling to be educated on the basics of the system. I can't stand people who feel a belief then build a logic to support it.
