It was one of those games where it had ultra generic gameplay (felt like a combination of Gears of War and a light gun game at the arcade) but a really thoughtful story.

Don't know if I should resume AC Origins, or try out State of Decay again, or maybe Vampire The Masquerade.

Yeah I remember starting it a few years ago and I got past the first level and just kinda gave up because the enemies were so boring and the gameplay was clunky. Glad to have given it another chance.

Glad to see TC, some great games there. I usually beat between 15 to 30 games a year, playing dozens others. But these lasts few months life has been kicking on my door, so these recent months going by I will typically only play a game once a week now, but strangely, that's been enough for me.

nevermind I looked it up and that scene happens regardless if her "Like" meter is high or not

The "like" system thing only affects the ending

Just tried Men of War Vietnam out and ... wow, that first mission just keeps dragging on. What a shame, think I'll have to move it to the "tried but didn't like" bin.

I love that game. One of a very few games to make me feel, especially feel nauseous from the events portrayed in it >_>.

Started this game Dead Effect because HLTB says it's only three hours long.

I don't know why I don't play something good like Bioshock 2 or System Shock 2 >_>.

I thought Binary Domain was rather underrated. It has its flaws, especially on PC, but as you said, the story is nice.

The Men of War games are really hit-or-miss for people. I haven't played Vietnam, but the ones I've played have all the trademarks of an ambitious low-budget European game. The direct control mechanic and the attention paid to things like armour slope and thickness, penetration of the rounds, physics in general is great. In Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, I vaguely recall blowing up a half-track and the turret landed on one of my men, killing him.

The only other MoW game I played was one of the earlier ones set in World War 2, and it was pretty enjoyable. I couldn't get invested in Vietnam. I think the trashy soundtrack and the repetitive gameplay just kinda killed it :|
