Live near Franklin! Used to live in New Bedford... heard the Cape and south coast are going to get the worst of it. We're supposed to get a foot to a foot and a half near where I live. Good luck tomorrow and try to avoid going out unless you have to!

Whew. What a crazy 12 hours.

As expected, my boss didn't let us go until 11 am (at first he said 11:30 but then panicked at 11 when the snow started really coming down)

Then started an hour of driving home in the worst storm I've ever driven in. I have a small Honda Civic and every single car on the road was pissed at me and treated me as if I was an asshole. Multiple plows coming into my lane trying to run me off the road. I understand, I didn't WANT to be on the road, but I had to be...

Then I get home at noon, right as high tide is hitting, and my entire street gets flooded from the river next to us. The water is rising up to over a foot in my driveway, almost covering my tires. So I grab my cat and her crate, run through the water to my car as my neighbors are screaming "GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" And go to my dads house (15 mins away).

The roads were even worse at this point and I had to shovel my car out of a bad spot in the middle of a bad street. Luckily everyone else listened to the governement and stayed off the streets. An ambulance stopped as I was shoveling my tires out of a jam, and they yelled at me to get off the roads.

Finally got to my dads and watched the news for hours, showing 3+ feet of flooding water near to my (and my sisters) streets. We both thought our houses were flooded.

After high tide ended, we went to check both of our houses, and shockingly both were untouched. The water literally crept up right to our doorsteps but didn't come in. Thank the lord. Finally got home a bit ago and power finally came back on a bit ago. Love y'all hope y'all locals stayed safe

Good to hear, Frozen. Glad youre safe!

Just be a lot of shoveling for me tomorrow. We lost power for about 15 minutes. Thought about going to a hotel and started prepping to leave... didnt want the kids in a cold house. Luckily the power came back. Did dig out half the driveway and one car, just in case we need to leave.
