I was brought up with the idea that you weren't suppose to swear when talking in public or when holding a conversation unless you're upset and even then, try to restrict to one or two swears.

They seem normal to me.

Really? This is the mos swearing I've ever heard in a random conversation I've overheard once.

"Hey,motherfucker! It's been ages since I've seen you! How the fuck have you been?"
"I've been great asshole, the whole fucking time I've been working my ass off to please this shitty boss of mine, lately. Did you hear about,Dan? The dumb son of a bitch got arrested last night"
"What a fucking moron,he always does this shit."

That's normal? Those guys were in their 30s

No big deal, it's just I've never heard so many swears in the span of 30 seconds before outside of TV where they play up how rude a character is. It's really that normal?

i think generally the amount of swear words you use depends on your company and how comfortable/casual you feel around them

The severity of a word is never, ever, ever absolute. The context changes everything. Like in this conversation you posted.

Sure, that's a lot of cussing, but clearly they aren't raging at each other and using those words at their maximum "offensiveness." They're just using them like normal words.

So I don't see the problem, unless someone gets antagonistic because they're asked to reduce/stop with cursing. At that point they're just an asshole.

I was raised not to cuss. If a person says one or two cuss words during a conversation, it doesn't bother me, but non-stop cussing is excessive. I also hate when people say the n-word excessively. In NYC, I actually hear some of these kids saying the n-word dozens of times in the span of minutes. It's literally punctuation.

Still, sometimes I hear people cuss as much as Katt Williams doe in his stand ups, he cusses so much I don't think Comedy central ever airs his specials unless it's the weekend and past midnight and even then they still have to beep him every 4th or 3rd word.

I have a relative that uses the F-bomb in mixed company. There are kids who have never heard the word because of their religious upbringing and he drops the F-bomb. :(
