It's weird because I'm used to having two four day weekends at a minimum (one for Christmas, one for New Year), and usually some janky ass holiday routine that involves either an absurd amount of time off (like... only having to come in twice over a three week period, or being able to leave after staying for an hour, that kind of stuff).
At a new place and first I hear they don't do four day weekends for the holidays so I was kinda bummed about that but then I find out I get half days (not terrible), and then yesterday they're like "yeah just take the next couple of days off". The last day at my job was the 22nd and my first at the new job is the 8th.
