i'll open all the things, hold the pickup button to pickup everything in a radius, but not all the time would it pick everything up

Depends how important cash is and how much effort is involved in picking it up. In Xenoblade 2, for example, cash drops as soon as enemies are killed and despawns shortly afterward, even if I'm still in battle with another one, and there are much better ways to make money than cash drops from enemies, so I tend not to chase them down unless they're larger ones.
