so I heard that you can catch every single one from the series, in the new Ultra Sun and Moon games. But I looked it up just to see, and yep. Mew is not included. They are so stubborn about just letting you catch a Mew

None of the Mythical pokemon are included.

Every generation has Mythical (the "technical" term" Pokemon that are event-exclusive.

There is a legit way to hack the game in pokemon blue to get mew.

Iirc you have to teleport in some patch of grass or something, i did it and transferred my Mew over to my Pokemon gold game

well it's not out yet, till late next month. but apparently in the japanese version of Crystal, they had a side quest in the game that let you make a celebi appear, and catch it. for some reason they took it out of the US version. but next month it will be on the 3ds VC and they have put it back in.

they're apparently making it so after you beat the E4, the nurse in Goldenrod Pokemon Center will give you the GS Ball which you can take to Kurt to fight Celebi in Ilex Forest which was event-only in the original Japanese Crystal
