I dont usually make my wife watch movies. Partly because half the time she's on the phone talking to Na-Yeong and Su-Jin and the other half she's looking up all the spoilers and memes on the Korean bastard child of Wikipedia and 4chan.

But mostly because she hates Star Wars..or claims to. But now she wants me to show her the movies because occasionally she decides to feel really guilty about not liking something that I like. But she won't actually watch the movies anyway unles I insist. So here we are.

Anyways so we boot up A New Hope, on those snazzy DVDs I saved from like, 04 or 06 with the theatrical, unedited cuts. And by the time we reach Mos Eisley (I've caught her looking at pictures of Korean food like ten times by now) she says "I really hope Obi Wan doesn't die."

So I keep my best game face on, but wasnt prepared for her to proceed to have a 5 minute conversation with herself about why Obi Wan would probably die. By the time they blow up Alderaan my wife finallu decides "Yeah, Obi Wan is definitely going to die".

And then Obi Wan dies.

And she's surprised.
