I lived in Alaska when I was a tiny little child, and I remember like pure snow all winter. 30 years later I am back, and it hasn't snowed in like 2 weeks. and the snow that last fell is almost melted away, causer of some bullshit rain that happened a few days ago. and it's warming up. This is crap. I wanted a blanket of snow for months. that's what I was looking forward to. people who live here all their lives have told me that the climate has been changing. god damn climate change ruined my alaska

It has been 10 to 20C (18 to 36f) above average here for a week it's very unusual. Having lived pretty far north most of my life it's very noticeably different.

Call me anti nostalgic but being trapped inside for months in darkness under 10 feet of snow is not something I would miss.

Having lived in Alaska most of my life, nah. It sure snowed plenty when I lived there 2 years ago.

Climates have oddities now and again, you can't straight attribute every unexpected result to global warming.

Except these oddities have pretty drastic outcomes and this definitely arent now and again

In Boston it is the warmest it has ever been in December
