Us older folks are classified as Aquarius, younger people are now classified as Pieces just because a day or two was changed.

Do other cultures do this with theirs ?

From what I understand: one Zodiac system was based on constellations a few hundred years ago. Surprise, Earth moves through fucking space, so of course constellations don't stay in the exact same spot every year forever. Right now everything is off by like a month, there's a new sign, and one sign either got eliminated or its got a very short window.

But there is something to be said about looking at what the ancients thought about the cosmos. Since they didn't know what they were looking at, there are some theories that say their subconscious filled in the gaps.

With that, we could, hypothetically, receive insights into the subconscious thought of people who lived long ago.

Kinda neat...and far removed from the superstition that comes along with most cosmology talk

The girl I'm with now says she doesn't put much stock in to them, but when we were still talking with she kept mentioning the compatibility of a Cancer and Scorpio (me).

There may be some truth regarding personality based upon when you were born, but I think that has more to do with environmental factors than any star alignment. The Earth isn't in the same spot in relation to the stars as it was thousands of years ago when the concept of the zodiac was first conceived, so we'd all be off by a month or two if there were any truth to it.

If someone asks you your birthday, that's probably a red flag that you don't want to get involved with them anyway. It's not about compatibility between libras and cancers, it's about the compatibility between the logical and the desperate.

Hate it.

Girls who are into it have stopped talking to me once I told them when I was born. Its more insufferable when you have male friends into it.
