Yeah, the work needs to get done. Why would I waste time now, only to have a really stressful Monday where I have to catch up with last week's work and work on new stuff?

My workrate never really changes, I just add music or Netflix to the mix while I work if there's no one around to be bothered by it. Sometimes I even do that when people are in the office with me so long as they don't mind. Now the only thing really different when I'm alone is that I'll pull out my DS and play it when I'm on the phone with someone instead of just sitting there listening to them ramble.

My coworker said that she just watches movies on her computer if no one else is at the office.

The only thing I hate is that if delivery people come, the building sends them directly up to our floor rather than us buzzing them in, so anyone can pop up at any time, but it is not that often.

They recently moved me to an office which is the only office on the entire floor. The only other stuff here are a gym (which my office can look into through a 1-way mirror) and a dining hall.

I can come and go as I please and my boss wouldn't know any different. Though I'd hate to risk it and the one time I'm gone they come looking for me. So I stay put.

i might leave a little early, but not much. im a salaried employee with deadlines. if i leave early im just postponing work for later.

I guess for me, a lot of my work isn't that time sensitive so whether I do it today or next week doesn't affect the company at all.
