this was released a while ago and while i loved the original on NES i was hesitant to get this because of the reports of bugs, incompleteness, etc. but the game has been out for a while now and according to the Steam patch notes, the dev is very active and has been addressing issues and complaints people have.

reviews are now "mostly positive" with the recent being "very positive". a few months ago it was "mixed" and "mostly negative", at least the last time i looked it was.

this is just frustrating

a lot of moves dont actually work

ai is cheap as fuck

not sure if they have fixed it yet

that's the stuff i was afraid of and why i was hesitant to buy it at first. how long ago did you play it? asking because it seems like lots of work and patching has been done to the game and if its fixed, im very interested.

more than 6 months ago

devs were active in trying to fix bugs. but the gameplay itself wasnt as fun as original.
