It kinda is. Don't you have to put your hand on the Bible while taking an oath in court? That's what I have seen in the movies, anyway...

Considering we don't do anything Jesus asks of us as a nation, I wouldn't say we are. :v We love war and guns way too much to be a christian nation. Jesus said that when attacked you should turn the other cheek. That hasn't stopped the USA from dropping bombs and making entire cities go boom.

If anything we're probably making Jesus weep more each and every day.

I'm agnostic.

But I'm curious what is so bad about Christians? All that I have meet that a truly followers of the faith are outstanding people. Not without their flaws of course but genuinely good people.

I repeat I'm agnostic.

But fail to see how having faith in something greater than yourself is a bad thing.

Because they hate lgbt iirc

Extreme religions blow things up in the name of god

Extreme religions disagree with homosexuality

But the mass majority of religions are people of faith and love

This is my take

The first amendment kinda makes it impossible for it to be a Christian nation because it would be endorsing one religion over others, but people like to think it is Christian because that is what most people in the US are.

Well, yeah... no one's stating that it's legally a Christian nation with an organized state religion. Just that the guiding principles tend to be driven by Christian beliefs and followers.

He's saying that the good christians you have met are just that: good christians. For a lot of people, though, it's little more than a label.
