pirates say they mostly pirate things not available and if a company wants to stop piracy to make stuff more accessible (price wise usually but could be quantity)

snes classic is sold out

each person who got one isn't going to pirate those games and nintendo got a cut

so all this piracy of old snes games is just demand and until nintendo fulfilled that demand (still hasn't) people were pirating

if they continue to pump out classics you will no doubt see a drop on piracy of these games that are on the classic

pirates have valid talking points but even after you meet all their demands they're still going to pirate because of the one point they don't want to talk about which is they want it but don't want to pay for it.

like, the majority of pro-cannabis people don't give a fuck about kids with seizures, but they absolutely will use that in an argument to help get pot legalized so they can get high recreationally.

I don't get it: SNES Classic is not limited edition. nor is NES Classic: NES Classic is confirmed to be back in stock in 2018.

When the NES originally came out no one knew it would be released again. People took the limited quantity and figured it would remain that way. The SNES was approached the same way. Both will end up just being ordinary plug and plays, glorified of course since it's officially made.

I have the SNES. And I want the NES too. But I have no problem wait for it until next year. lol

I'll wait until they come out with a SNES/NES console that has EVERY game on it as well as wireless controllers. Otherwise it's just a waste of damn money.

You can already buy wireless controllers for the SNES Classic.

The SNES games I acquired are ones that were never locally distributed anyways. *looks at Terranigma and Seiken Densetsu 3*

This hits the nail on the head. Pirates love to mention all these talking points and reasons, but they're really just using that as a means to justify pirating it and at the end of the day they just want free shit. All of those demands could still be met and they'd just continue to pirate simply because it's free and many people feel entitled to their entertainment.
