TL;DR - Guy says on her show that he believes in the First Amendment and boobs, the host is so extremely triggered she writes a whole op-ed about it and talks about how she kicked him off her show.

Why do they tolerate that kind of stuff? They must have known what kind of person they were bringing on to the show in the first place, and secondly... who cares? It was a dumb joke.

lol...uhh, this is over the word boobs? (Just skipped over it quickly).

Lol, whatever. Overly PC trash.

Based on what I read, yes. He said "boobs" one time, the whole news room apparently had a melt down, then she cut off his mic and told him "bye". And people are taking up arms on twitter and getting offended about it.

And apparently CNN's invited him back xd.

CNN should've done their homework on him it seems.

Two things. First, the guests were brought on to have a serious discussion about the ESPN journalist controversy, the first thing this guest does is be immature and mention boobs. Two, this is part of what he does, the producers who invited him on should have known better. And even after he said it they should have instead just mentioned to not do any other immature comments. Cutting him off was too drastic.

And to Brooke Baldwin - someone with almost 20 years of experience in journalism. A guy mentions boobs live on air and it's enough for you to trip, cut off his mic, and write an op-ed about it? Really? In your experience, you haven't seen/heard worse than that?

When you watch the video, there was no overreaction. It's not like she jumped down his throat over it. She gave him a chance to explain, he repeated himself, he couldn't seem to understand why his comment was completely irrelevant, so she ended the interview. Imagine going on TV to discuss the Cleveland Indians win streak, and throwing in "speaking of streaking, I love naked women!" It's so out of left field that it makes you wonder what passes for professionalism these days.

I mean, you're ignoring the context in which the discussion is in regards to a female host's worth as a ESPN reporter, and the first (well, technically second) thing the guy does talk about the worth of boobs.

It's blatantly inappropriate, and on top of that it's pretty blatantly sexist.

I just think it's ridiculous someone would get offended over the word "boobs" and decry sexism when it was clearly a dumb comment. I can't even wrap my head around how ridiculous the reaction is. It's more like: "here we are talking about a woman's career and the first thing he did is boil down women into their physical characteristics".

If he had said "I like her, she's got a great rack", you would find it offensive, yeah?

Agreed 100%. I can't stand overly PC nonsense as much as the next CEman, but the video is pretty bad. He doesn't just say "boobs" once and gets booted, Brooke gave him numerous times to back away and he kept quadrupling down! It was completely inappropriate, off-topic, and unprofessional, not to mention sexist.

But I would SOOOO let Brooke have angry feminist sex with me.

That wasn't the context, the context was that he only believes in two things -- the first amendment and boobs. I agree it was awkward and had nothing to do with the topic, but it wasn't especially inappropriate just because the host was female and they were discussing Jemele. It was not directed at either of them, and there is nothing about liking boobs that's sexist.
