Their 70s, and both barely seem to know what planet they're on. To be fair, I remember my father always being like that.

Late 50s. Both have been out of touch since their late 30s cause they're completely scared of technology.

It's reached a point where they cant use their tv or cell phones unless I am there to show them and they always justify it with "nobody our age knows how to use these" even though literally everyone they know can use modern phones and tv's and computers without issue.

They're in their early 50s. They travel a lot. I don't go with them because they drive me insane.

late 50s. they're in pretty good shape, though my mom has a lot of trouble with digital technology and refers to basically anything more advanced than a VCR as a "technology twister"

Mid 50s. But I'm in my mid 30s so that's not very old to me. My biological father I've never met, nor do I want to. But I always had the youngest parents compared to my friends.

I remember in high school my friend's parents were in their 50s across the board. Ones father was 60. I remember they did a huge birthday party for him in Vegas. Wow. There's a very good chance he's dead by now. That was 1998 and he wasn't in the best of health back then. That's pretty wild thinking about that right now. I can't fathom what it's like having a parent in their 70s when I'm only in my 30s.

Dad's 65 and is quite in touch with reality, and actively seeks out new technology.

Unfortunately my mom passed away some 15 years ago now.

Late 50s. Dad is well adjusted but a little schizotypal personality wise. I'm convinced my mom has bipolar type II with an underlying histrionic personality disorder.

Parents are in late 50s. My dad isn't very tech savy but he'll experiment and usually doesn't have an issue, as far as voting and such goes he'll tow the party line (GOP of course) while also admitting the system is beyond fucked. Generally pretty laid back but still likes to pretend society is getting worse despite growing up during a time when civil rights barely gained traction.

Mom isn't so well off with a refusal to learn how to use basic things such as the TV remote (anything made past 1985 is beyond her) and her getting a smart phone makes dealing with her a chore. When it comes to politics she'll blindly insist whoever the GOP backs is correct no matter how many facts are shown to her. Hell right now she's embroiled in a battle at church over the fact they think it's okay for gays to get married and she thinks somehow God will punish everyone for letting that happen.

Mid and late 50s, and yes they're going batshit insane.

My dad is a typical Trump supporter who just learned how to use social media so his mind is getting the full assault of garbage information and political "discussion" without the intuitive filter most young people have for that kind of thing and it's making him react the worst way possible. He's gone full blown "us vs. them, if you're not with us you're against us" and he thinks I'm with the hardcore left just because I criticize Trump for his most obvious criticisms, despite CE attesting that I'm far from that, lol. He's always been a huge racist and xenophobe but the paranoia has been ratcheted up to 11. He'll see a service van stop in the neighborhood with black people coming out of it and say "keep an eye on them, he might pull a gun on us". He's 100% convinced "the race war is coming!" and that white people should constantly be on their guard in the case of random terror attacks from minorities. Not even exaggerating. These are word for word beliefs he lives by. He is an actual caricature.

My mom is sadly going the way of her mother and very slowly slipping into what seems to be dementia. She's mentally declining and often seems to be in a fog, and often has these little superstitions coming out of nowhere. She also has to live with a hardcore narcissist so that's taking its toll on her as well, molding her into an extremely passive-aggressive person with an obsessive attention to any minor failure of her adversar- I mean "husband".

Mother is 48, father is somewhere in his fifties.

My mother is an alcoholic that has drank herself stupid. My father has always been utterly fucking stupid.

No idea how connected to reality they are, haven't spoke to my father since I moved out at 15, and my mother is always drunk so who fucking knows with her.
