I don't agree with everything he does in office but I feel he is a genuinely decent person. Perhaps it is because he grew up in foster care in a rural town and isn't a career politician - he's a trained welder who eventually became leader of the national metal workers' union before being offered to become leader of the Socialdemocrats and then he won an election. So he is a living embodiment of everything being possible if you work hard enough. He isn't as polished as most politicians but his heart is in the right place.
