I just watched the whole Nightmare on Elm Street series so time to move onto another one.

If I watched Friday the 13th I would start at the first one.
If I watched Halloween I would start at Season of the Witch cause I just watched 1 and 2 last Halloween.

Friday the 13th is consistently bad as it goes on, but in a fun schlocky sort of way.

Halloween after 2 has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. They're just truly terrible.

So I decided on Friday the 13th. I have just watched the first 2 movies and the plot of them already makes no fucking sense.

If Jason died in Part 1 how is he an adult later on?
But if he didn't die, then nothing happened in part 1, he went swimming and nothing happened. So why would that turn him into some crazy 8 year old hermit growing up by himself in the woods. Why wouldn't he just stop swimming and just go back to his mom. And he was just a normal kid, why would he be all deformed as they show at the end of 2? Like none of this makes any fucking sense.

3 and 4 and 6 are the only good ones left imo. X is fun though. And the remake is okay.

I actually like Halloween 4. 5 isn't great. 6 is bad. I like H20. Resurrection is horse shit. I wouldn't bother with the Rob Zombie versions. Maybe the first one. He completely ruins Michael's character though.

While I would say the Friday the 13th franchise is better as a whole, its best movie does not come close to the original Halloween.

Child's Play since the 7th movie is coming out this year.

Friday is definitely the more fun series. Halloween tries to take itself too seriously.
