Apparently everything I watched on Toonami is shit.

But apparently everything the people who bash Toonami like, is also shit.

And apparently Iron Blooded Orphans isn't that great.

What are the good Gundams.

And was that on Zoids series America never got (the one after Fuzors) any good?

I only could really get into the original series, but many will feel it's dated and cheesy. Most of the other series just ripped off the first one anyway.

All the UC stuff (even ZZ) and Turn A.

I would recommend The 08th MS Team. It's not that many episodes so there's no crazy time investment.

I liked all the Toonami stuff like Gundam Wing and G Gundam.

But OO Gundam (or Zeta Gundam?) was good too.

Watch the UC stuff as mentioned. Watch the original MSG series, and if you like, they were edited and condensed into three movie length films. They actually flow real well and tell the story of the original series perfectly while trimming some of the fat, check them out.

Zeta Gundam is also a must. I personally don't like ZZ Gundam, not cause it's lighter in tone but it's just not as good a series imo.

Char's Counterattack is must as well.

If you don't know where to start, just go in release order of the series. Try out the classic stuff and see if it works for you.

UC is the best stuff.

All Gundam series are good, except Wing. Wing was a product of it's time. Dark, dreary, filled with melancholy. The Bebop era of anime(not saying Bebop was bad, but it led to that darker style of anime). It's really bad if you aren't still young enough to find that kind of stuff cool.

Also, any series that got a sequel are polarizing. SEED, OO, IBO, and I guess AGE if you consider the time skips to be 'sequel-like'. Some like them, some don't, and like all Gundam, some hate them for not being UC. I personally enjoy them all, but I guess I'm easy to please.

Turn-A and G are... weird. They were done in totally different styles, and are really only Gundam in name only. Not that they are bad, mind you, just different.

If you can handle the animation, UC is absolutely amazing. Also, for the love of god, if you're gonna watch Mobile Suit Gundam, watch the three movies. MSG was a super robot show. Combining mechs, special weapons, 'monster of the week' in the middle, and is a god damn rough watch. The movies cut it down and it's more like Gundam as we know it.

Also, please don't watch Zeta dubbed. They made Kamille so fucking whiny in it. Like, you're supposed to hate Kamille for a large portion of it(like Amuro for a while in MSG), but they went overboard. Which is a shame, because Char is so, so good in the dub. As is Bright.
