One thing I learned from experience is never try to study a girl. If she really wants you she will let you know. And it will be obvious. Not subtle like emojis. That doesn't mean you can't ask out or try to court a girl who doesn't immediately let you know she wants you.

But typically in that scenario it's better to ask sooner than later because then it just becomes a friendship.
