for me it's because i like to turn off things that console games have on, like depth of field and motion blur. also like the easier aiming as well

I wouldn't call myself a PC gamer but I do use my PC for some of those games from the golden age when PC was king in the Adventure genre.

Better if every technical aspect.
I pretty keyboard/mouse over controllers (which I can use anyways, and do for retro games)
I'm on my pc so much for non-gaming reasons, having great hardware for everyday use is nice.
No upgrade cycles.
DLC isn't as bad and offset with mods n such.
Doesn't contribute as badly to a culture of exclusive content, pc games don't care if you use AMD or NVIDIA.
My pc is usually on and loads quicker than consoles now anyways.

Because even though there are still a few downsides that are inherent in the PC platform, many of the traditional downsides of PC gaming have been eliminated to the point that PC is no longer an alternative way of playing games but is now overall better.

Consoles games are locked to 30FPS and generally don't even reach that most of the time.

PC gamers are so insecure lol. You guys are an afterthought when big developers release AAA titles like Assassins Creed, Madden, or Watch Dogs.

I originally built my PC to play exclusives, particularly RTS games. Eventually I just moved to it completely since my computer was strong enough that things just looked better and I became more familiar with the keyboard for shooters.

I still have a PS4 but at this point it's mostly exclusives and RPGs.

Sounds like you need to work on that bro. Especially since Japanese developers have finally learned that there's money to be made on PC releases in the West, making the PS4 far more redundant to own than, say, the PS3 at this point in its life cycle.

i find it the COMPLETE opposite

i have a lot of gamer friends and we all play on discord together or skype or vent etc

console gmaes lack proper voice channels for large groups of friends


anyways TC, i play on the PC for PC exclusive games or games that run much better on PC like WoW, Hearthstone, Diablo 3, MOBAS, etc. i also buy games on the steam summer sale for like 3 dollars or find great deals online. just bought dishonored 2 for 8 dollars and am running it at TRUE 4k (not fake console 4k) at high settings and 60 hz. For competitive games i play games at 1440p and 144 hz. i just simply cannot play competitive games @ 60 hz anymore


I ALSO play console games. I wish i didnt have to, but sony exclusives are pretty great with gmaes like uncharted, bloodborne, the lst of us, etc


honestly, anyone who doesn't play PC games is missing out. anyone who doesn't play console exclusives is missing out

mods and stuff. i will admit there are a lot of pros and cons to both.l
