Board 8 > Anyone watch Love on Netflix?

So the first season was enjoyable enough. I was on the fence whether or not I'd keep watching, but eventually I got around to watching the second season and the jump in quality is like, staggering. Really pleasantly surprised and I'm loving it.

Just wanted to see if I was alone here.

I watched the pilot, but didn't find either character particularly likeable. Meant to still give it a couple more episodes, but never got back around to it.

See, that was kind of my issue with the first season too. But without the first season as it was, we couldn't have such a good second season.

The first season is basically setting up these two people trying so hard to have normal and happy lives and screwing everything up. The second season has them coming together and trying to have a healthy relationship while the life of everyone around them starts to fall apart.

My wife and I have watched both seasons, they're decent. I've liked it more than my wife. She didn't care for season two, mostly because she didn't like either of the main characters more that season, doesn't care what happens to them, prefers Gillian Jacobs as Britta (lol (we're also rewatching Community)), and finds Bertie's accent way too forced. But my wife is British and has lived in Sydney for a year... she has a cultural experience of being around Aussie's in a normal environment.

I wouldn't care if the show keeps going. Though I do like it for the most part.

Gus is a huge piece of shit and the girl (whatever her name is) is a huge pain in the ass.

But I still like it. It's just really hard to care because I want Gus to get hit by a truck.

I don't think Gus is a total piece of shit so much as just an annoying fuck up. And that's why it's so satisfying that everyone around him basically shits on him all of the time. I can't get enough of that.

I've started it, but I haven't gotten very far. I like everyone involved but it just couldn't hook me very well.
