So we know how CE feels about the cake issue, it is divided, but a cake is kinda just an object. While some feel that their cake being in the wedding makes them a part of it which is something against their beliefs, it is kinda just a cake and not an extension of yourself. I can kinda see both sides making a good argument actually. I mean, the slippery slope is supposed to be a logical fallacy but if you can refuse to have your cake "participate" then what if you make plastic cups and feel that they being in the wedding means you "participate"? Or what if you sell beef and they eat your beef? Logical fallacy or not, it kinda works. Eventually you get refused by all these services and that is not good.

However, catering means you have to actually be there in person. What if a christian catering company was asked to cater a wedding where they would stand near a serving of meat to serve it to guests and watch as the participants dance with one another? The christian or muslim for that matter doesn't believe in homosexual marriages, but because of their profession they must watch them exchange vows as a caterer.

What do you think? Is this the same as the cake or different?

the lgbtq couple is from the middle east and want the traditional food of their hometown

they find a place that will serve them such middle eastern food

problem is that place is a devout muslim of a sect that believes homosexuality is a sin and refuses

they are the only place for miles that caters this kind of food
