Martin reportedly became disappointed with David Benioff and Dan Weiss for featuring some spoilers for the upcoming sixth “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel, which pushed him to quit writing for a while. Before Season 6 began, the veteran author had expressed to his avid fans that he cannot finish the book on time.

Aside from that, Martin has also been reported to be writing the script of five “Game of Thrones” spinoffs. According to rumours, the upcoming “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is going to be the last installment of the TV series but spinoff series are totally going to follow after its finale.

I've never read any of the books, but I do feel for those who have.

FYI Anagram, this stuff gets "reported on" every week. No joke. Every week "rumors" and "news" are posted by low-tier sites looking for cheap hits.

The article isn't credible. George wrote less than 2 weeks ago how he's still working on TWOW.

Don't forget the bit about him supposedly writing the scripts for five spinoffs. No, there are five writers working on scripts, which Martin will have to approve but otherwise he's not directly writing for them. He even stopped writing for the current show a couple seasons back, claiming every episode he writes costs him a month of writing time on more important things.

Which is why I asked for more sources
When you see an article and google it it and see it's the only one reporting it, you know something is wrong (also if other no-namers site post it but source only one site..)
