Why does she pronounce "better" as "baydeh"? Is it a dialect? Is it because she found it too difficult to articulate properly while singing? Do you know? Because I find it kinda annoying but English isn't my native language so... >.>

The R sound is one of the most difficult sounds to pronounce in English. IN some native asian speakers they genuinely cannot perceive the sound difference between L and R, they dont have the phonemes which are developed around 3-8 months iirc and depend on the language/s you hear during that time

regardless, the R sound is one of the harder words to also pronounce

In the UK the use of R has been greatly diminished, for example

If you hear a stereotyical londoner say Color they actually pronounce is CuhLuh. Totally skip the R

When people sing they speak words differently, oftentimes harsh sounding sounds like R's are pronoucned differently when singing

There are also regional accents in the US where R's arent prounced as much, as well as T's but it's not in NY where she is from

it's just a singing style
